Are You Leading? Challenges & Triumphs How We Work Books, Papers & Reflections About ...

Sandy Mobley

Sandy MobleyWe often dream of what is possible, but until we share that dream with someone who will believe in the possibility and help us realize it, we may not let ourselves embrace it. I searched for many years to find work that used my skills fully, challenged me and brought joy to my work life. I have found fulfillment in coaching and believe everyone can have work they love.

My goal and passion is to listen deeply for what matters to my clients and help them develop a plan to achieve it. I provide a road map and companionship along the journey. Clients say I expect the best of them, never judge, and provide lots of laughter along the way. I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed and live that belief.

Sandy A. Mobley created The Learning Advantage to help organizations and individuals move through sustainable change while minimizing resistance. Methodologies include training, coaching, and organization development. The changes include:

  • Large scale organization culture change
  • Transitioning to a new role
  • Leading a team more effectively
  • Preparing for a promotion
  • Becoming a powerful leader

Sandy, a master certified coach and master somatic coach, helps people embody their authentic leadership voice. She works in professional service firms such as Ernst and Young, LLP and Booz Allen Hamilton and with technology and communication companies such as EDS, Hewlett Packard, AOL, and Sprint/Nextel. She helps federal and county government organizations make a difference for their constituents through coaching and mentoring programs. Before starting the Learning Advantage, she led executive development and training for Hewlett Packard, Watson Wyatt, and McKinsey & Company.

She co-authored the essay "Why Smart Organizations Don't Learn" in Productivity Press's best-selling Learning Organizations: Creating Cultures for Tomorrow's Workplace. Her article on coaching, "Judge Not: How Coaches Create Healthy Organizations" was published in the Journal for Association and Participation. Her article on somatic coaching, "What's Your Body Saying Behind Your Back" and her workshops on Making First Impressions Count have been offered to coaches and leaders. Sandy has an MBA from Harvard University and bachelor and master's degrees in Math and Computer Science, combining pragmatic and interpersonal skills.
